In a TV9 Digital discussion centered around the upcoming Bihar elections, Bima Bharti, a former minister, asserted that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar struggles with his memory, failing to recognize people. Bharti indicated that she would not be fielding her daughter as a candidate in this election. She also suggested that there will be a significant shift in the political landscape. Bharti questioned Kumar’s silence on critical issues such as special state status, unemployment, and poverty. Before joining the RJD, she was affiliated with the Janata Dal United. Bharti also commented on the situation in Purnia, where she stated her party would contest as instructed by the Mahagathbandhan and acknowledged her positive relationship with MP Pappu Yadav. Bharti also revealed that she is planning to contest the Rupauli seat. She also discussed the case where her husband and son were allegedly implicated in a murder case, which she claims was a result of political vendetta.
