A recent decision by the central government, influenced by the 56th GST Council meeting on September 3rd, resulted in reduced GST rates for select dairy products, starting September 22nd. This has prompted Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Limited (COMFED), under their Sudha brand, to adjust prices, offering consumers direct financial benefits.
Butter prices have been updated. Table Butter (50g) is now ₹31, (100g) is ₹55, and (500g) is ₹270.
Paneer prices are also lower. The 100g pack is now ₹46, the 200g pack is ₹85, and the 500g pack is ₹205.
Several milk products have also decreased in price. Tetra Pack Toned Milk (1000 ml) is now ₹73, while Tetra Pack D.T.M. Milk (1000 ml) is ₹68. Additionally, Alester Toned Milk (200 ml) is ₹14, (500 ml) is ₹32, and (1000 ml) is ₹63. Alester Standard Milk (500 ml) is now ₹34.
Ghee prices have also been reduced significantly. Special Pouch Ghee (200 ml) is now ₹143, Special Pouch Ghee (500 ml) is ₹315, Special Tetra Pack Ghee (500 ml) is ₹325, and Special Tetra Pack Ghee (1000 ml) is ₹630. Furthermore, Special Tin Pack Ghee (1 kg) is now priced at ₹640.
Consumers may still encounter products with the old packaging displaying the prior MRP. However, all such items are being sold at the updated prices. Consumers are advised to confirm the revised prices with the retailer at the time of purchase.
