The Chhattisgarh government, under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, is investing ₹75 lakh to build domes in five areas for the Dhurwa community. Each dome will be constructed with a budget of ₹15 lakh. Sai also committed to approving the development proposals submitted by 36 Sarpanchs from the Dhurwa community for their respective Gram Panchayats. The announcement was made at the Nuakhai Milan event, which also included the inauguration of the ‘Olek’ social building in Jagdalpur. Sai highlighted the state’s dedication to the overall upliftment of tribal communities. He spoke about the ‘Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at ensuring financial resources for tribal village development, with an allocation of ₹80,000 crore. He also mentioned the Prime Minister Janman Yojana, which focuses on integrating particularly backward tribes into the broader development framework.
