In a bid to enhance road infrastructure in Delhi-NCR, the central government has sanctioned a new 30-kilometer expressway. This new road will provide improved connectivity between Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and the upcoming Jewar International Airport. The expressway will run adjacent to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, connecting Pashta Road with the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and the Yamuna Expressway. The project was originally suggested by Gautam Buddha Nagar MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has offered his support, underscoring the necessity of a direct road link for realizing the full potential of Jewar Airport. The project will be implemented by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), with funding secured. This project is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure development in the Delhi-NCR region. Gadkari shared that numerous projects, valued at ₹1.2 lakh crore, are currently underway, with half already completed. Furthermore, the government is ready to allocate an additional ₹40,000-50,000 crore to further develop the region’s infrastructure.
