Hanif Khan, a Pakistani citizen, was arrested by Rajasthan CID Intelligence in Jaisalmer on Thursday. The arrest was made in connection with the alleged transmission of classified information about the Indian Army to the ISI. The CID has initiated legal proceedings under the State Secrets Act 1923. The investigation centered around 47-year-old Hanif Mir Khan, who resides in Mohangarh, Jaisalmer. His frequent interactions with the Pakistani intelligence agency via social media triggered the investigation. As a resident of Bahla village, near the India-Pakistan border, Khan had convenient access to border areas. Interrogation revealed that he possessed details of military installations and troop movements. Moreover, evidence suggests that during Operation Sindoor, he shared troop movement information with a Pakistani handler in exchange for money.
