Following the tragic stampede in Karur, ADGP S. Davidson Devasirvatham has refuted claims of intelligence failure. The stampede, which occurred during a TVK rally, resulted in numerous fatalities and prompted investigations. The ADGP explained that the police had denied the initial request to hold the rally at Light House Raundana due to its high-risk nature. The ADGP mentioned that a case has been registered, and the investigation will identify those responsible for the crowd management lapses that occurred.
