The Sanchar Saathi app can perform various functions such as immediately blocking stolen or lost mobile devices, tracing phone locations, assisting in the recovery process, and identifying and shutting down fake mobile connections. The app is available for free download from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Additionally, it can be accessed on the official website, sancharsaathi.gov.in. To block a lost or stolen phone, users must visit the website, navigate to the ‘Block your lost / stolen mobile handset’ section, and then click on ‘Block lost / stolen mobile handset’. Information such as the mobile number, IMEI number, and model name needs to be entered, along with personal details. An alternate mobile number is needed to submit the OTP, and finally, the user must click on the declaration and submit the form.
