India won the Asia Cup 2025, defeating Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28. It was the third time India overcame Pakistan in the same tournament. Controversy erupted during the post-match celebrations when ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi allegedly took the trophy, seemingly disrupting the festivities. Following the incident, Naqvi posted a comment on social media. Naqvi responded to a tweet by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating: “If war was your measure of pride, history already records your humiliating defeats at Pakistan’s hands. No cricket match can rewrite that truth. Dragging war into sport only exposes desperation and disgraces the very spirit of the game.”
