Vijayadashami, the festival, witnesses the victory of development and faith over violence and illusion today – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai

Raipur, October 02, 2025/ The festival of Vijayadashami, a symbol of the victory of religion and justice, has this time also become a symbol of the historic victory of development and good governance over violence and illusion in Chhattisgarh. Congratulating the security forces on the surrender of 103 Naxalites in Bijapur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that this step is a decisive step towards a peaceful and prosperous future for the state.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government’s “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025” and “Niyad Nella Nar Yojana” have ignited the lamp of trust and hope in the hearts of those who have strayed from the illusion of red terror. Inspired by the “Puna Margem Abhiyan”, a total of 103 Naxalites have surrendered in Bijapur. Out of these, 49 Naxalites are also those on whom a reward of up to Rs 1 crore 6 lakh 30 thousand was announced.

The Chief Minister said that an incentive amount of Rs 50 thousand has been provided to each person who surrenders for a fresh start. Along with this, under the Naxal Eradication Policy, they are being given an opportunity to live a dignified life and join the mainstream of society. Till now, more than 1890 Maoists have surrendered, which is a direct proof of the effectiveness of the government’s policies and the trust of the people.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the leadership of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji, the Chhattisgarh government is determined that Naxalism will be completely eradicated by March 31, 2026 and a safe, dignified and bright future will be given to the surrendered people.

He said that this change is not limited to the land of Bastar, but is a powerful step towards a peaceful, prosperous and developed future for the whole of Chhattisgarh.
