The grand 55th Shree Ram Vijayadashami festival was organized at the WRS Colony ground in the capital. On this occasion, the dignified presence of Chhattisgarh Governor Shri Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai was present. In the program, a huge crowd saw the exciting spectacle of Ravana Dahan and fireworks and enjoyed the festival till late.
Governor Shri Ramen Deka said that this festival of Vijayadashami is also an opportunity for self-introspection. He said that today we should all take a pledge to renounce the ego and evil within us and play a positive role in the progress of society and the nation.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the gathering, said that the festival of Dussehra gives the message of the victory of religion over irreligion, truth over untruth and good over evil. This festival inspires us to renounce negative thoughts and tendencies within us and walk on the path of righteousness.
On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, along with a large number of public representatives, office bearers of the organizing committee and devotees were present.
