A heartbreaking event unfolded at Sonpur Railway Station on Friday evening. Vijay Kumar Singh, a railway officer, died after falling from the Jogbani-Danapur Intercity train. Singh, 43, a Deputy Chief Controller, was attempting to board the train when he slipped and fell onto the tracks, getting struck by the train. He resided in the Anand Dwarika Heritage Apartment in Shivpuri, Anisabad, Patna. He was returning to his residence in Patna after finishing his work when the accident occurred. He worked in the control office of the Sonpur railway division’s operations department. After the incident, the DRM, Senior DOM, and DOM, along with other senior officials, arrived at the scene. The body was sent for a post-mortem examination, and the family was notified. The incident also impacted railway services, causing delays for several trains.
