Prior to MP Ziaur Rahman Barq’s statement, the Allahabad High Court had dismissed the mosque committee’s petition regarding the demolition of a mosque in Sambhal, directing them to approach a lower court. Addressing this, the MP stated that the message of Prophet Muhammad has always been one of peace and brotherhood. He mentioned that writing ‘I Love Muhammad’ or displaying posters does not offend anyone’s faith or convey any wrong message. He added that it is wrong to spread misinformation about this. Regarding the bulldozer action, he said that giving punishment is the job of the court, not the administration.
