The state government has decided to procure paddy from the farmers of Chhattisgarh state in the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26 from November 15, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

During the said period, paddy will be procured from 25 lakh farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal, up to a limit of 21 quintals per acre.

To promote transparency in paddy procurement, farmer registration on the AgriStack portal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, through e-KYC has been made mandatory this year, ensuring correct identification of the farmer and preventing duplication. Registration can be done until October 31, 2025.

Through digital crop survey, 23 lakh hectares of area have been surveyed, as a result of which the online determination of paddy area has been digitally ensured.

In 20,000 villages of the state, data from digital crop survey and manual girdawari is being read out in Gram Sabha meetings since October 2.

To ensure better arrangements for farmers, an online token system has been arranged through the ‘Tokaar Haath’ mobile app, through which farmers can book tokens themselves for selling paddy on days convenient to them.

Paddy procurement will be done based on biometrics to ensure procurement from genuine farmers.

Instructions have been given to make adequate arrangements in societies for paddy procurement through 2739 procurement centers.

Societies will be given incentives at the rate of Rs 5 per quintal for zero shrinkage in the marketing year 2025-26.

Instructions have been given to arrange new and old jute gunny bags as needed for paddy procurement.

The Food Department, Government of India, has set a target of 73 lakh metric tons of rice for the central pool for the Kharif year 2025-26.

To prevent recycling of paddy in the state and ensure better monitoring, it has been decided to establish an Integrated Command and Control Center at the Markfed office for the first time. Control rooms will also be set up in districts.

It has been decided that administrative officers will be made procurement center in-charges by the Collector for better and smooth arrangements at the paddy procurement centers.

Instructions have been given to form special checking teams at the district level to prevent the arrival of paddy at procurement centers from border states.

Instructions have been given to conduct physical verification of paddy loading and transportation to ensure economy in the paddy transportation system.
