The “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat – 1/25” National Camp in Koderma recently concluded its cultural segment with a grand display of India’s diverse heritage and the vibrant spirit of its youth. Organized under the Bihar and Jharkhand NCC Directorate, with leadership from Group Commander Brigadier S. Gopi Krishnan (SM) and Commanding Officer Colonel Vijay Kumar (SM), the event’s 11th day was dedicated to a spectacular cultural program. The proceedings began with the auspicious lighting of a lamp by Mrs. Manoj Thakur, Project Head at Koderma Thermal Power Station.

A total of 601 NCC cadets from five states – Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand – participated, presenting performances that celebrated India’s cultural unity, national integration, and the immense potential of its youth. The chief guest, Brigadier Abhijit Sharma, Deputy Director General NCC, Bihar-Jharkhand Directorate, commended the cadets’ dedication and discipline. He highlighted, “India’s unity in its vast diversity is its most profound strength, and organizations like the NCC are vital in preserving this core value.”

Distinguished guests in attendance included Brigadier S. Gopi Krishnan (SM), Camp Commandant; Manoj Thakur; Sukhmoy Nayak, Deputy General Manager (HR), KTPS; Dr. Ayodhya Kumar, Principal, Government Polytechnic Koderma; and Lemanshu Kumar, City Manager, Jhumri Tilaiya Municipality. The chief guest honored these prominent figures with mementos.

Cadets showcased their talents through a series of energetic group songs, dynamic group dances, and moving solo performances. These acts vividly portrayed the distinct cultural identities and patriotic fervor of their home states, creating an atmosphere of national solidarity and cultural appreciation. Brigadier Abhijit Sharma recognized the most talented cadets and dedicated instructors with mementos, trophies, and medals. The camp commandants, Brigadier S. Gopi Krishnan and Colonel Vijay Kumar, presented the chief guest with a memento as a gesture of respect.

Adding a local flavor, Jhumri Tilaiya’s popular singer Naveen Jain Pandey delivered an inspiring performance of regional and patriotic songs, earning him a memento from Brigadier Abhijit Sharma. Colonel Vijay Kumar also presented mementos to Ajay Agarwal (Director, Chlorophyll School), Dilip Singh (District Public Relations Officer), Vikas Kumar Seth, and Ajit Kumar.

Lieutenant Santosh Kumar, the camp’s Nodal Officer, conveyed his gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success. He specifically thanked the Jhumri Tilaiya Municipality for their efforts in maintaining sanitation and Koderma Thermal Power Station for organizing an educational tour. Thanks were also extended to the permanent instructors, officers, and the entire staff of the 45 Jharkhand Battalion.

The “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat – 1/25” National Camp has proved to be a significant platform for fostering cultural understanding, leadership, discipline, and national unity. The active involvement of 601 cadets powerfully demonstrates that India’s youth are the driving force behind its continued progress and strength.
