A Boeing 747-481 cargo aircraft encountered a catastrophic runway excursion at Hong Kong International Airport during an early Monday landing. The plane, which had flown in from Dubai, veered off the tarmac and reportedly collided with a ground service vehicle. The impact dragged the vehicle into the adjacent water. Emergency crews were mobilized rapidly to the scene. While the flight crew members were reported to be uninjured, two ground personnel tragically perished in the incident. The Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department has launched a comprehensive investigation into the accident. The aircraft, bearing registration TC-ACF, was operating under the Emirates flight number EK9788.
