    Raipur, On the occasion of Diwali festival, a Diwali Milan ceremony was organized today at Raj Bhavan, presided over by Governor Shri Raman Singh. Shri Singh inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp. He extended his warm Diwali wishes to all the guests. He also wished for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of everyone. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai was specially present at the ceremony. The Chief Minister and invited guests also extended their warm Diwali wishes to the Governor. On this occasion, the First Lady of the state, Smt. Rani Deca Kakoti, and the Governor’s family members were present.

    The program showcased the glorious culture of Chhattisgarh through various colorful presentations. The performance of the traditional folk dance of Chhattisgarh, Raut Nach, by Shri Keshav Ram Yadav and his troupe, the melodious singing of Sufi singer Padma Shri Madan Chauhan, and the Bhajan presentation by MLA Shri Anuj Sharma doubled the enthusiasm of the ceremony.

    Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agarwal, Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Member of Parliament Smt. Roop Kumari Chaudhary, MLAs, former Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, Secretary to the Governor Dr. C. R. Prasanna, along with other officials and distinguished citizens were present at the program.
