A disturbing incident of vehicular homicide has been reported in Bengaluru, where a 24-year-old food delivery executive, Darshan, was killed after being deliberately rammed by a car. The incident on October 25 has been escalated to murder charges against Manoj Kumar and his wife, Aarati Sharma, thanks to critical CCTV footage. The footage captured the couple chasing Darshan’s scooter and intentionally crashing into it. The tragic event stemmed from an earlier, minor dispute over a car’s side-view mirror. Despite Darshan’s attempt to de-escalate by apologizing and leaving, the accused pursued him aggressively. The impact was fatal for Darshan, while his pillion rider sustained injuries. Investigators discovered the couple attempting to retrieve damaged parts from their car at the crime scene, reinforcing the evidence against them. Both have confessed their roles in this senseless act of violence, and the case is under further investigation by the Puttenahalli police.
