The Indian Navy is set to lead the formidable ‘Trishul’ Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) in early November 2025, uniting the strengths of the Indian Army and Indian Air Force. This critical exercise aims to significantly enhance interoperability, synchronize joint operational procedures, and integrate advanced capabilities in intelligence, surveillance, electronic, and cyber warfare. Operations will be coordinated by Headquarters Western Naval Command and will encompass extensive land and sea engagements, including large-scale maneuvers in Rajasthan and Gujarat’s unique terrains, along with amphibious operations in the North Arabian Sea. The exercise boasts participation from key formations like the Army Southern Command, Western Naval Command, and South Western Air Command, further strengthened by the Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force, and other national agencies, demonstrating a unified approach to security. The primary goals of TSE-2025 include optimizing cross-service operational synchronization, improving the seamless functioning of platforms and infrastructure, strengthening inter-service network integration, and advancing joint operations across multiple environments. Naval warships, Air Force fighter and support aircraft, amphibious vessels like INS Jalashwa, and landing craft will be deployed extensively. Joint intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and cyber warfare drills will be conducted. Moreover, Indian Navy carrier operations will be coordinated with shore-based IAF assets. ‘Trishul’ will prominently feature indigenous defense systems, reinforcing the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative and adapting operational doctrines for contemporary and future security challenges. This exercise underscores the Indian Armed Forces’ collective resolve for integrated defense preparedness and national security.
