NACHA Bay Area Chapter Participates in Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day Celebration Organized by Indian Embassy in San Francisco, USA

Migrant Chhattisgarhi people are cultural ambassadors of the state, giving Chhattisgarh’s culture global recognition – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, November 11, 2025/ The celebration of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day, organized by the Indian Embassy in San Francisco, USA, was celebrated with great fanfare. On this occasion, Chhattisgarh’s rich culture, traditions, and folk art left a special mark on foreign soil. The Bay Area Chapter of NACHA (North America Chhattisgarh Association) played a significant role in this event. They specially set up an attractive stall dedicated to Chhattisgarh state, beautifully showcasing the state’s unique products, handicrafts, folk art, and traditional jewelry. Through this stall, the diversity of Chhattisgarh’s art, culture, and handicrafts was displayed, which was highly appreciated by the guests present.

The main attraction of the program was the mesmerizing performance of Chhattisgarhi folk dance, which enthralled the Indian diaspora and representatives from other countries present. This folk dance, presented in traditional Chhattisgarhi attire, not only served as a medium of entertainment but also brought the soul of Chhattisgarh’s folk culture to life.

NACHA members stated that their objective is to take Chhattisgarh’s culture, language, and folk traditions to different parts of the world. They said that migrant Chhattisgarhi people are continuously striving to establish the identity of their home state at an international level. This event provided them with a powerful opportunity to connect emotionally with their roots.

Congratulating all the members of NACHA Bay Area Chapter, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that their effort is an inspiring step towards establishing Chhattisgarh’s glorious traditions on a global platform. The Chief Minister said that migrant Chhattisgarhi people are the “cultural ambassadors” of the state, who, while staying connected to their roots, are establishing Chhattisgarh’s identity, culture, and values throughout the world.
