A significant car crash occurred near Jail Chowk in Sakchi on Thursday afternoon, leading to injuries for three people. The incident involved a head-on collision between two vehicles. A resident and his wife were traveling towards Jail Chowk when a speeding Tata Tiago, registered in West Bengal, rammed into their car. The impact was extreme, activating the airbags in both automobiles and mitigating the severity of injuries. Eyewitnesses described extensive damage to the front of both cars. The injured comprise the wife of one driver, a woman from the other car, and a young man. Passersby helped get the injured woman and young man to Tata Main Hospital for treatment. The driver’s wife received immediate care at a local hospital and was released. Sakchi police were alerted and quickly responded, clearing the wreckage from the road to resume traffic and launching an investigation. The driver involved explained that while heading to the market, their car was hit by the speeding vehicle from the front. He emphasized that the airbags deployed instantly, preventing a much worse outcome.
