    In a significant success for the security forces in the National Park area of Bijapur district today, a joint operation by Chhattisgarh Police, District Reserve Guard (DRG), and Special Task Force (STF) resulted in the neutralization of six Maoists during an encounter. Among those neutralized was Kanna alias Buchanna, carrying a reward of ₹8 lakh, who had been orchestrating violence, fear, and Maoist activities in the region for a long time. This operation is considered a crucial and decisive achievement in the direction of completely eradicating left-wing extremism.

    Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai lauded the success of the security forces, stating that this achievement is a result of the excellent coordination, bravery, and precise strategy of the police forces.

    Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, is working in a mission mode with the resolve to completely eradicate Naxalism by March 31, 2026. He added that the state government and security agencies will unitedly take this fight to a decisive end.
