West Singhbhum’s sporting landscape was enlivened by the commencement of the 5th District Level Karate Championship this past Saturday. The Sports Karate Association has successfully brought together around 225 talented young karatekas for the two-day competition at the St. Xavier Welfare Center’s Community Hall. Key dignitaries, including Sub-Divisional Officer Sandeep Anurag Topno and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Bahaman Tuti, graced the opening, initiating the event with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The championship is a testament to the growing prowess of karate in the district, providing a vital platform for athletes to demonstrate their discipline and skill. Competitions will proceed throughout November 16th.
