Veteran actor Prem Chopra has been released from Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after a brief admission for chest congestion. The actor, who entered the hospital on November 8, has now gone home following his recovery and treatment. Prem Chopra is a celebrated figure in Indian cinema, celebrated for his powerful portrayals that often defied typical villainous stereotypes, notably in cult classics such as ‘Prem Nagar,’ ‘Upkar,’ and ‘Bobby.’ His career, spanning more than 40 years, is a testament to his enduring popularity and his ability to captivate audiences with his impactful performances. Beyond Bollywood, Chopra’s negative roles also found a significant following overseas. He previously recounted an experience involving a Hollywood film that aimed to pay tribute to ‘The Godfather.’ He was initially enthusiastic about the offer, thinking he would play the titular role, but later learned his part was intended as an homage rather than a lead character.
