Sanjay Khan shared a touching video on his social media, documenting the solemn ceremony where Zarine’s ashes were immersed in a river. The footage highlighted the profound sorrow of the family, particularly Zayed Khan, who was inconsolable and visibly weeping. Sanjay Khan also conveyed his deep emotions during this final goodbye to his wife. The video served as a beautiful tribute, interspersing the ritual with cherished memories of Sanjay and Zarine’s enduring relationship and family life, underscored by the classic song ‘Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai’. Zarine Khan, 81, succumbed to age-related health issues. Her daughter Farah Khan Ali had earlier expressed dismay at the media’s intrusive and insensitive approach to her mother’s cremation, which followed Hindu traditions.
