Following confirmation that gangster Anmol Bishnoi has been removed from the United States, the family of the late NCP leader Baba Siddique has made a fervent plea to the Indian government to secure his extradition. Anmol Bishnoi, brother of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi, is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of Baba Siddique, who was gunned down in Bandra last October. Official confirmation of Bishnoi’s removal from U.S. jurisdiction, effective November 18, was provided by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Victim Information Notification Exchange (DHS-VINE).
Zeeshan Siddique, son of Baba Siddique, revealed that his family, registered as victims with U.S. authorities, received this update via email. The family is now focused on ensuring Bishnoi is deported to India. Zeeshan appealed to the central and Maharashtra governments to take immediate steps to bring Bishnoi back to Mumbai for interrogation and arrest, emphasizing his dangerous nature and continued threat to society. He stated that Bishnoi’s alleged role in his father’s murder, alongside other high-profile incidents like the firing outside Salman Khan’s residence, necessitates his return to fully expose the conspiracy. The family seeks justice and clarity on who orchestrated the crime.
In a related development, the Bombay High Court has directed the Maharashtra government to respond to a petition filed by Shehzeen Siddique, Baba Siddique’s widow, demanding an independent, court-monitored probe. Investigators have traced Anmol Bishnoi’s flight from India on a forged passport, with his international movements including stops in Nepal, Dubai, and Kenya before he arrived in the United States. His detention in the U.S. in November 2024 culminated in the current deportation process. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) lists Bishnoi as a top-wanted individual, offering a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest. He faces charges in at least 18 criminal cases in India, including the conspiracy to kill Baba Siddique and the alleged masterminding of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder in May 2022. His suspected role in the April 2024 shooting at Salman Khan’s home links him to the broader Bishnoi crime syndicate.
