West Singhbhum’s Saranda forest is slated for a swift security transformation, following directives from Jharkhand’s acting DGP, T. Adasha Mishra. During her visit to Chaibasa, DGP Mishra conducted a comprehensive review of anti-Naxalite campaigns and troop readiness. The meeting involved top brass from various security organizations, including the state police, CRPF, and elite commando units. Intensive discussions were held regarding the operational dynamics in Saranda, the deployment status of forces, the availability of essential resources, and strengthening inter-departmental cooperation. DGP Mishra commended the security forces for their dedication and the progress made in challenging Naxal-affected areas. She projected a firm timeline for the resolution of Naxal presence in Saranda, stating that the operational groundwork has been laid. Efforts are underway to analyze and overcome any tactical or logistical hurdles to ensure future operations are highly effective. The DGP reiterated the critical role of collaborative efforts and a systematic, safety-conscious approach in achieving the ultimate goal of a Naxal-free Saranda.
