Dhumka, Jharkhand – A significant cluster-level awareness and training program focusing on the rights and social security provisions for persons with disabilities was conducted at the Dhadadangal Panchayat Bhavan in Kathikund block. The Birsa Divyang Samiti, in collaboration with partners, organized the event, which was chaired by Priyatam Kumar Singh, Treasurer and Director of the Samiti. Dinesh Soren, Mukhiya of Dhadadangal Panchayat, and Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Senior Program Officer from Sight Savers India Bihar, were the chief guests. Ajit Pathak, Special Educator from Dumka block, Nitesh Kumar (Samiti President), Sikki Kumari (Samiti Secretary), Upendra Rai (Samiti Accountant), and Vivek Kumar Singh (Tanya Computer Center operator) were special invitees. The Samiti extended a warm welcome to all guests with honorifics. An exposure visit allowed participants to observe the comprehensive welfare initiatives for Divyangjan implemented by the Birsa Divyang Samiti, receiving high praise for their effectiveness. Ajit Pathak led the training session, attended by 95 individuals from the Dhadadangal and Jhikra Panchayats, providing crucial information on essential schemes and legal rights.
