To maintain transparency and order in the paddy procurement system operated at support prices under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26, the district administration is continuously taking action against illegal paddy storage and transportation. In this sequence, the flying squad team of Krishi Upaj Mandi Balod today conducted intensive checks in various villages and seized a large quantity of illegal paddy.

Tehsildar Mr. Ashutosh Sharma informed that the flying squad team has so far registered a total of 06 cases under the Mandi Act and seized 218 quintals of paddy. In today’s action, 22 quintals from village Limora, 40 quintals from Londi, 99 quintals from Pondi, 32 quintals from Bhediya Nawagaon, and 24 quintals from Belmand, all under Balod Tehsil, were caught in a state of illegal storage.
