The Faridabad Police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to scrutinize Al-Falah University’s alleged involvement with an extremist network tied to the recent Delhi Red Fort explosion. This initiative by local law enforcement will complement the work of several central agencies already investigating the case, concentrating on how accused individuals operated from the university for an extended period without raising alarms. The SIT, comprising two Assistant Commissioners of Police, an inspector, and two sub-inspectors, has begun a deep dive into the university’s operational framework, financial flows, and any potential internal or external support systems. A key objective is to identify the exact channels that allowed the primary accused doctor to use the campus as a base. Investigators are determined to reconstruct the entire process of how explosives were acquired, stored, and transported from Faridabad to Delhi, ensuring no suspicious activity was flagged. The probe will also examine if institutional negligence, insufficient monitoring, or external facilitation played a role in the module’s long-term undetected presence. Police Commissioner Satender Kumar Gupta has mandated the SIT to thoroughly investigate the university’s environment conducive to covert operations and to deliver a comprehensive investigative report. Al-Falah University has been a central figure in recent investigations, not only for its alleged connection to the terror module behind the Delhi blast but also for separate, ongoing probes into alleged large-scale financial fraud and claims of fake accreditation.
