A high-profile murder has sent shockwaves through Shastrinagar, Kadma, in East Singhbhum. Tauqeer alias Gora, a figure with alleged ties to criminal activities, was shot and killed late Thursday evening. The attack occurred near the mosque on Shastrinagar Road No. 2. Two assailants on a motorcycle reportedly launched a brutal assault, first with a sharp object and then with gunfire, striking Tauqeer multiple times. He was rushed to TMH but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Forensic examination revealed five bullet wounds. Tauqeer, identified as an active member of the ‘Mardana Gang’ with a recent history of incarceration, is believed to have been murdered as a result of ongoing disputes within criminal circles, though investigations are exploring all possibilities. Police are actively reviewing security footage and gathering forensic evidence, including shell casings found at the site, to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for this violent crime.
