Ranchi: Mr. Ananya Mittal, Chief Executive Officer – JSLPS, said that with the efficient leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren and the support of the Jharkhand government, 423 Model Cluster Level Federations of the state are playing an important role in organizing and making rural women self-reliant. In the ‘SHG Federation Awards-2025’, rural women have brought pride to the state at the national level through collective leadership, transparent management, and strong organizational capabilities. “Jharkhand’s women cluster-level organizations (CLFs) have achieved remarkable success in the National SHG Federation Awards-2025. The award ceremony organized by the Women’s Advancement Society (APMAS) was held in Hyderabad on November 21, 2025, where three CLFs from Jharkhand were honored at the national and regional levels.

Two CLFs from Chatra district—Banhe and Dhankeri—achieved major success at the national level.

Two cluster-level organizations from Chatra district performed excellently, securing second and third positions at the national level. Dhankeri Aajivika Mahila Sankul Swayam Sambhal Sahakari Samiti Limited, Itkhori—formed on December 4, 2018, and comprising approximately 3,100 women from 246 self-help groups across 3 panchayats—received the second prize at the national level. Dhankeri CLF was honored for outstanding financial management standards such as integrated annual planning, monthly financial review, budget-variance analysis, digital monitoring (Online DCB, LokOS), and 100% loan repayment. Banhe Aajivika Mahila Swalamvi Sankul Sangh from Chatra secured the third position at the national level. This CLF achieved significant improvement in national rankings by maintaining an integrated annual action plan, regular financial reviews, reduction in idle cash, robust fund flow management, digital transparency, and a 100% repayment and zero-default portfolio.

Baguria CLF of East Singhbhum (Ghatsila) ranked second in the Eastern region.

Baguria Aajivika Mahila Sankul Sangathan Swalamvi Sahakari Samiti Limited, from Ghatsila block of East Singhbhum district, formed on July 6, 2018, received the second prize in the Eastern region. The organization addressed major problems faced by farmers, such as lack of capital and advanced technology, by providing low-interest CIF loans and ensuring advanced agricultural technique training through 22 Aajivika Farmer Friends (AKM) and 2 Senior AKMs. By providing seeds, fertilizers, and equipment through government schemes, the CLF played a significant role in reconnecting families who had abandoned farming back to agriculture. Today, more than 2,500 farmers in the region have become ‘lakhpati farmers’ through vegetable production. Baguria CLF has hoisted the flag of Jharkhand in the Eastern region by presenting a strong model of agriculture-based livelihoods and women’s leadership.
