A significant accusation has been leveled against the Jharkhand state government by opposition stalwart Babulal Marandi. The BJP State President alleges that the administration is actively fabricating new criminal incidents to conceal existing deep-rooted problems. Marandi contends that the government and the system have normalized the creation of artificial crimes to mask genuine illicit activities across Jharkhand. Recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) operations targeting the extensive coal mafia in Dhanbad have uncovered startling evidence. Most alarmingly, it’s reported that ‘influential police officials,’ benefiting from the black money generated by the coal trade, have allegedly ordered the ‘permanent disposal’ of their own ground operatives in the mafia. This drastic measure is believed to be a ploy to silence potential witnesses and obstruct the ED’s investigation. Concerns are high that individuals providing information to the ED are now targets for elimination to ensure the truth remains buried. The state has a history of such ‘evidence suppression’ through staged encounters, recalling a former DGP accused of contract killings and unparalleled corruption, even by his own party. The ED is strongly advised to be exceptionally vigilant. The prevailing situation prioritizes those who conceal facts over those who reveal them. When authority, the system, and criminal elements become intertwined, the corruption of justice becomes an imminent threat.
