Smriti Mandhana, a prominent figure in Indian women’s cricket, has withdrawn from the recording of an upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 with host Amitabh Bachchan. While official reasons cite personal circumstances, it is widely understood that this decision is linked to the postponement of her wedding to boyfriend Palaash Muchhal. The couple’s marriage, originally scheduled for late November, was put on an indefinite hold after Smriti’s father fell ill and required hospital care. Although her father has now been discharged and his health is stable, Mandhana has expressed a clear desire to wait until he has fully recovered before tying the knot. This commitment to family has also led to her absence from the KBC shoot, which was intended to honor the Women’s Cricket World Cup team. Other team members, including Harmanpreet Kaur and Shafali Verma, were present. Pre-wedding ceremonies had reportedly begun, but Mandhana has apparently removed some visual documentation of these events from her Instagram profile. A new wedding date has yet to be announced.
