An atmosphere of trust, security, and lasting peace is being established in Bastar – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur November 28, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that humane, sensitive, and visionary initiatives like the “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025” and “Puna Margem: Revival from Rehabilitation” have established an atmosphere of trust, security, and lasting peace in Bastar.

The Chief Minister said that many people trapped in the Maoist web are now leaving the path of violence and returning towards development and the mainstream. In this sequence, 10 Maoists, including senior member of Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee and rewardee of 25 lakhs Chaitu alias Shyam Dada, with a total reward of Rs 65 lakhs, surrendered today. The Chief Minister described this as clear proof of the changing Bastar and the success of government policies.

Chief Minister Shri Sai also said that in accordance with the government’s commitment, all surrendered comrades will be provided with necessary rehabilitation facilities for a secure, dignified, and self-reliant life. He mentioned that the increasing number of surrenders indicates that the public is trusting the government’s policies, and Bastar is rapidly moving towards peace, trust, and development.

The Chief Minister called this a significant achievement towards establishing lasting peace in Bastar, describing it as a collective result of the state’s effective strategy, the continuous hard work of the police administration, and public trust.
