The highly anticipated wedding of star Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music director Palash Muchhal has faced an unexpected delay, with rumors of a new date being officially debunked. The ceremony, initially scheduled for November 23rd, was postponed on the same day after Smriti’s father, Srinivas, fell ill and was hospitalized in Sangli. Palash Muchhal also experienced a brief hospital stay. While both have been discharged, no new wedding date has been communicated. Social media users noted the removal of several wedding-related posts from Mandhana’s Instagram. Her brother, Shravan Mandhana, addressed the ongoing speculation, denying claims of a December 7th wedding. “As of now, it (the wedding) is still postponed,” he confirmed, indicating that families are still to finalize arrangements. Palash Muchhal’s mother, Amita, shared her hopes for the wedding to take place in the near future. She acknowledged the emotional distress caused by the sudden postponement and expressed confidence that the marriage will proceed soon. The public and industry figures have shown support, with actor Suniel Shetty commending Jemimah Rodrigues for her profound friendship and solidarity with Smriti during this period.
