Raipur, 20 December 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai paid a respectful homage to Thakur Pyarelal Singh, a freedom‑struggle fighter and pioneer of the labour‑farmer movements, on the occasion of his birth anniversary on 21 December. He said that Thakur Pyarelal Singh was one of Chhattisgarh’s greatest sons who fought not only for the freedom struggle but also for the rights of workers, farmers and the underprivileged. He is regarded as the pioneer of the laboratory and cooperative movements in Chhattisgarh. From school days he was actively involved in all freedom movements and fought bravely against the injustices and oppression imposed by British rule. Shri Sai said that Thakur Pyarelal Singh’s entire life was filled with ideals of courage, struggle and service. His invaluable contributions to the social, political and historical development of Chhattisgarh will always be remembered with respect and gratitude. On this occasion he urged the citizens of the state to absorb Thakur Pyarelal Singh’s thoughts and ideals and to become active participants in building society and nation.
