A spirit of ‘Seva aur Samvedna’ permeated Daltonganj as the nation commemorated the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Daltonganj-Bhandaria MLA, Alok Kumar Chaurasia, organized a significant blanket distribution campaign to aid the impoverished during the cold season. Under the leadership of Manohar Kumar Lali, the MLA’s representative, hundreds of destitute families received blankets in a ceremony held near Harijan Vidyalaya on Sahitya Samaj Road. Lali drew a parallel between this charitable act and Vajpayee’s life, calling it a humble tribute to the leader’s values of service and simplicity, facilitated by the MLA’s vision. The collective effort saw the participation of key individuals and local volunteers, including Naveen Kumar Gupta, Sandeep Das, Shravan Kumar Gupta, Pramod Das Ranjan, Akash Kumar, Ranjit Gupta, Manish Varman, Pankaj Kumar, Sunil Pandey, Pappu Laath, and Pankaj Kumar, underscoring community engagement in this humanitarian act.
