The Koderma district successfully concluded a two-day intensive training camp and trial selection for the upcoming 17th National Jump Rope Championship. The national event, organized by the Jharkhand Jump Rope Association, will be held in Ranchi from January 9th to 11th. Koderma’s contingent was prepared at CPS Child Progressive School under the guidance of the Koderma Jump Rope Association. The camp commenced with school manager Taufeeq Hussain’s welcome address, where he praised the associations and stressed the critical role of skipping rope in developing core athletic attributes like stamina and skill, advocating for its widespread adoption for fitness. National Trainer Prakash Sah, supported by technical officials Anshu Raj and Anita Kumari, led the practical sessions for approximately 30 players, imparting various competitive jump rope techniques. Anshu Raj briefed the participants on the sport’s integration into major initiatives like ‘Khelo India’ and CBSE sports, encouraging wider participation. Anita Kumari’s motivational speech particularly boosted the morale of young girls, emphasizing their potential and the need for support, especially in rural Koderma. The official announcement of the selected Koderma team for the national championship will be made through newspaper publications on January 4th.
