West Bengal’s political landscape heated up Monday as BJP’s Dilip Ghosh lauded the Central government’s record-breaking financial aid to the state. Speaking to reporters, he emphasized that PM Narendra Modi’s administration has outpaced all predecessors in supporting Bengal’s ambitions.

Recent declarations underscore this commitment, with hefty sums approved for development in just 48 hours. Ghosh juxtaposed this with past regimes like Manmohan Singh’s, revealing a multi-lakh crore gap that now directly benefits on-ground initiatives.

He celebrated the state’s leadership in women’s issues—from empowerment to schooling—and rural renaissance, branding Bengal a ‘model state’ embraced by its people. To sustain this, Ghosh pushed for ‘double engine’ synergy between Delhi and Kolkata.

Turning to threats, he charged that radicals and infiltrators from Bengal export chaos nationwide. Yet, under Amit Shah, border security has advanced dramatically, fencing nearing completion. The Centre aims for a balanced future: prosperity secured by safety, propelling Bengal into India’s growth story.
