In a sensational development in the Balodabazar murder case, the Hathband police have arrested four individuals, including the wife of the deceased. The case, which initially appeared to be a railway accident, turned out to be a cold-blooded contract killing. Gas Kumar Joshi’s headless body was found on the morning of January 11, and for four days, his identity remained a mystery. The police utilized forensic techniques and local intelligence to identify the victim via a tattoo on his right hand. The subsequent investigation pointed towards his wife, Kusum Joshi, whose inconsistent statements raised suspicions. It was eventually revealed that she had conspired with her uncle and two others to eliminate her husband. The killers reportedly took the victim’s head and buried it ten kilometers away from the railway tracks where they had dumped his body. The police have recovered the murder weapon and the car used in the crime, marking a successful end to a complex criminal probe.
