A renewed push to refine the BPL census in Dharamshala’s Tisa development block is underway, with modified eligibility rules set to benefit thousands more. Eligible residents must file applications by January 25 at their panchayat centers.
The block’s BPL list originally featured 9,424 families. Phase one revisions added 878 new entries, and phase two is now processing 1,368 additional applicants. The third phase is gearing up, potentially transforming access to state welfare for overlooked families.
Transparency remains paramount, as assured by Block Development Officer Arvind Kumar. ‘Selections follow rigorous state-mandated protocols, scrutinizing income, assets, facilities, and exclusion factors meticulously,’ he explained.
Kumar made a fervent call to action: ‘Don’t wait—submit your forms before January 25 to secure benefits.’ He cautioned that post-deadline applications might face hurdles.
This drive underscores the government’s dedication to equitable distribution of poverty alleviation schemes. By streamlining inclusions, Tisa block aims to bridge gaps in social support, empowering families towards self-reliance and better living standards.
