Madhya Pradesh police launched a ferocious assault on drug cartels, confiscating substances worth Rs 14 crore and apprehending 22 operatives in sweeping raids. These victories reflect ongoing efforts to eradicate narcotics from the state’s underbelly.
A standout operation in Ratlam dismantled an underground MD production lab, arresting 16 suspects. Officers seized nearly 11 kg of the drug, manufacturing equipment, chemicals, two SUVs, and Rs 12 crore in assets. The raid also uncovered illegal weapons, bullets, valuable timber, and protected peacocks.
Charges under NDPS and Arms Acts are underway. In Narsinghpur’s Operation Eagle Claw, police hit two spots: a truck bust yielded 106 kg ganja and Rs 55 lakh property with two arrests; another recovered 31.55 gm high-value smack (Rs 3.5 lakh), totaling Rs 58.5 lakh seized and three in custody.
Satna police grabbed 4 quintals of ganja (Rs 40 lakh) and one smuggler, while Katni netted Rs 50 lakh ganja with six captures. These raids not only destroy immediate threats but also gather vital intelligence for future strikes, fortifying Madhya Pradesh’s defenses against drug proliferation.
