The paddy procurement work in the district is continuing with speed and transparency in the Kharif marketing year 2025-26. Under the paddy procurement that started from November 15, a total of 89 thousand 181 farmers are registered in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, out of which 3 lakh 71 thousand 291 tons of paddy have been purchased from 72 thousand 258 farmers by the committees so far. Thus, about 76 percent of the paddy procurement target has been completed in the district.
Farmer Shri Premchand Lahre, a resident of village Bhathagaon registered at the Koseer paddy procurement center in development block Sarangarh, sold 310 quintals of paddy through just two tokens without any hassle. In lieu of the paddy sale, he received a quick payment of 9 lakh 61 thousand rupees directly into his bank account.
The amount received from the paddy sale has created an atmosphere of happiness in the family of farmer Shri Premchand Lahre. Expressing his joy, he said that his niece’s marriage has been fixed and he will use the amount received from the paddy sale for this auspicious occasion. He said that due to the farmer-friendly policies of the state government, farmers are getting timely payments today and the work is proceeding smoothly.
Farmer Shri Premchand Lahre expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, saying that under his leadership, the paddy procurement system has become simple, transparent, and reliable. It is noteworthy that as per the government’s instructions, the paddy procurement work in the district is being successfully conducted under the guidance of the district administration at all procurement centers, keeping in view the convenience of the farmers. Farmers are satisfied with the timely payment and systematic arrangements and are expressing gratitude towards the state government.
