The push for digital governance takes a giant leap as the Sampann pension portal merges with DigiLocker, offering telecom pensioners unprecedented ease. Government sources confirmed on Wednesday that retirees can now retrieve e-PPOs, gratuity orders, commutation papers, and Form-16 online, anytime, sans physical visits.
Crafted by the CGA office, Sampann’s new DigiLocker link notifies all eligible pensioners under the Digital India program. The process is intuitive: users enter PPO details in service categories and fetch tailored documents instantly, landing straight in their digital lockers.
This paperless shift, as per the Communications Ministry, secures documents while facilitating banking, medical reimbursements, and other essentials. Delhi’s Principal CCA Ashish Joshi noted, ‘It frees pensioners from paperwork drudgery, saving time and costs in Delhi-NCR and nationwide, fostering digital empowerment.’
Accessible via digilocker.gov.in with Aadhaar login, the service turns smartphones into document hubs. Remembering its 2018 launch by PM Modi, Sampann shifted pension systems from bureaucratic mazes to seamless digital flows—handling applications, processing, payments, audits, and complaints end-to-end.
For telecom veterans and families, this means liberation from office runs, aligning with national goals of efficient, inclusive e-governance. As India accelerates digital transformation, such integrations set benchmarks for citizen-centric services, promising a future where paperwork is history.
