A deadly collision in Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy neighborhood has resulted in the arrest of a truck driver after two young men perished in the crash. The Wednesday night horror has intensified debates on urban road safety.

The accident occurred at 11:50 PM by Gurjar Chowk, when a truck collided violently with a motorcycle. Bhalswa Dairy police arrived promptly to a scene of destruction: twisted metal and two bloodied youths.

Identified as 28-year-old Azad Bharati, a medical shop assistant from Mukundpur, and Deepesh, a professional taxi driver, the pair was pronounced dead at the hospital despite emergency efforts. Their professions underscored the everyday struggles of young Delhiites navigating hazardous roads.

Eyewitness Rohit shared vital observations with police, aiding the initial inquiry. The mobile crime unit documented the site comprehensively, gathering forensic evidence. Both vehicles were confiscated, and an FIR lodged.

Authorities detained Baljinder Singh, 35, hailing from Khalchia, Amritsar, Punjab. To expedite justice, the investigation was reassigned to the MACT Cell/OND, focusing on negligence, vehicle conditions, and contributing factors.

As probe details emerge, this incident exposes systemic issues like poor road infrastructure and lax enforcement in densely populated areas. Families demand accountability, while experts advocate for tech-driven solutions to curb fatalities on Delhi’s deadly highways.
