Uttar Pradesh police scored a significant victory against organized crime in Mirzapur when they arrested Farid following an intense firefight late Wednesday night. The operation, centered in the Dehat Kotwali area at Khadanja Fall, stemmed from credible informant leads tracking the fugitive.
Accused of orchestrating religious conversions, sexual harassment, and extortion under the guise of gym training, Farid’s criminal portfolio prompted a multi-day manhunt. Upon police approach, he unleashed gunfire, met with precise counter-fire that injured his leg, facilitating his detention.
Medical teams airlifted the wounded suspect to the Trauma Center, stabilizing him under tight security. This development brings the total arrests to five, building on prior actions that incarcerated a gym owner and three trainers, alongside sealing four related fitness centers.
At the heart of the probe lies KGN Gym in Sadar Tehsil Colony, exposed by two women’s bold complaints. They alleged a systematic scheme where gym staff cultivated false romances, pressured converts, exploited victims sexually, filmed the acts, and extorted payments.
FIRs under grave sections target seven suspects. District Hindu Jagraran Manch leader Keshavwani disclosed the facility’s long tenure and branches, citing accumulated reports of love jihad tactics. Connections with aggrieved families precipitated the full exposure and push for iron-fisted retribution.
