In a major electoral boost, the BJP-Shiv Sena Mahayuti alliance dominated 29 municipal corporation elections in Maharashtra, headlined by their BMC conquest. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hailed it as proof of the coalition’s popularity and PM Modi’s enduring appeal.

Interacting with presspersons, Rijiju credited the wins to Modi’s national stewardship alongside Fadnavis and Shinde’s state-level prowess. ‘Ajit Pawar’s integration has solidified our front, winning hearts across the spectrum,’ he remarked.

BMC’s 227 seats saw Mahayuti bag 118, four beyond majority. The opposing Shiv Sena (UBT)-MNS front faltered badly, underscoring voter preference for stability.

On the economic front, Rijiju outlined the upcoming parliamentary calendar: session from January 28, budget on February 1. ‘Under PM Modi, budgets aren’t mere numbers; they safeguard society, propel the country, and secure tomorrow. Implementation is impeccable, with no room for oversight,’ he declared.

Rijiju reiterated the Modi administration’s hallmark: thoughtful, evidence-based governance. ‘Examine any scheme or allocation – all bear the stamp of meticulous planning since 2014.’

Evading West Bengal SIR questions, he quipped, ‘Patience; responses will follow in due course.’

Mahayuti’s municipal sweep positions them strongly for influencing budget priorities, promising accelerated infrastructure and welfare in India’s financial capital.
