Thursday brought fresh political fireworks in Bihar when RJD mouthpiece Ejaz Ahmad ripped into the NDA for downgrading Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s security cover. The opposition leader’s safeguards were pared down, prompting cries of a sinister plot to cripple dissent.

Ahmad painted a grim picture of authoritarian overreach, insisting the cut exposes the government’s unease with Tejashwi’s barrage of questions on employment crises, developmental lapses, crimes against women, and murder spikes plaguing the state.

Tying it to the heated NEET exam death row in Patna, he accused the administration of engineering distractions. The hypocrisy stings: Z-plus fortresses for NDA luminaries like Nitin Nabin, Mangal Pandey, Sanjay Sarawgi, and Lalan Singh, complete with commando units, versus Tejashwi’s diminished Y-plus.

Giriraj Singh shares the Y-plus tier, but officials chalk up revisions to standard security reviews. RJD dismisses this, viewing it as payback for Tejashwi’s role as a relentless watchdog on public welfare.

With agitations looming, this controversy amplifies Bihar’s polarized arena. Ahmad reaffirmed Tejashwi’s commitment as a true jananayak, vowing no retreat from the battle for accountability. The security shuffle may backfire, galvanizing opposition forces further.
