AYODHYA: Baba Ramdev weighed in on the heated exchange between Swami Avimukteshwaranand and Magh Mela authorities, stressing the imperative for Hindus to close ranks. “Sanatan’s foes are active—Islamization agendas and Ghazwa-e-Hind plots abound. We battle them, not our own,” he declared post-Ayodhya darshan.
The yoga maestro, back from Prayagraj’s holy dip, lamented saints entangled in worldly tiffs. “We view Shankaracharyas as God incarnate and pray they stay above fray,” he said, specifically decrying disputes at pilgrimage hubs.
Flashback to January 17: On Mauni Amavasya, Swami Avimukteshwaranand’s palanquin procession met resistance at Sangam. Officials, citing safety, demanded he walk. What followed was a public showdown, with the seer claiming intentional humiliation. Escalation peaked with his mela-side protest.
“No room for snan or palanquin rows at tirthas,” Ramdev opined. “A sadhu conquers ego; one who clings to honor isn’t a true sanyasi.”
His Ayodhya sojourn embodied deeper purpose. “Sanatan thrives in practice—emulating Ram’s dignity is our vow here.”
Prior to this, Ramdev’s mela puja evoked bliss. “Tirtharaj Prayagraj hosts endless sadhus in mela penance. This visit purified my being,” he enthused to the press.
Ramdev’s intervention highlights a critical juncture: With external pressures mounting, Hindu leaders must model harmony to safeguard Dharma’s future.
