Patna’s political air crackled on January 23 as Health Minister Mangal Pandey launched a frontal assault on Mamata Banerjee, branding her electoral victories as tainted and her resistance to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) as a desperate bid to preserve power.
‘Mamata is destroying the system, pressuring everyone to stop SIR. TMC members hound BLOs mercilessly, shattering their morale,’ Pandey charged during a media interaction. He painted a grim picture of administrative coercion stifling democratic processes.
Accusing her of demographic engineering, Pandey said, ‘Banerjee smuggles Bangladeshis into West Bengal, grants them voting rights for fraudulent wins. She’s oblivious to BJP’s impending takeover.’
In a broader swipe, he juxtaposed PM Modi’s grassroots rise against Kharge’s privileged background. ‘Congress leaders are silver-spoon elites following orders blindly. Modi, from humble chaiwala roots, feels the poor’s pulse intimately.’
Delving into Bihar’s public health battle, Pandey clarified filariasis complexities. ‘It includes elephantiasis, hydrocele, and more. Our 2027 elimination campaign focuses on awareness, data collection, and medicine adherence statewide.’
Pandey highlighted Bihar’s solid backing for Nitish Kumar and Delhi’s welfare programs. ‘People stand with us; officials are geared to prevent any disruptions,’ he affirmed, ending on a note of optimistic resolve.
